Clothes For Kids Celebrates the 7th Annual Transforming Lives Breakfast
Clothes For Kids welcomed over 210 guests to their Transforming Lives Breakfast at the Lynnwood Convention Center on Thursday, October 20. After a hearty breakfast buffet, guests enjoyed a presentation from emcee RJ Coop, an awards presentation to My Neighborhood News Network, and heard from former client Yuliana Flores-Montes.
“The breakfast is the largest annual fundraiser for Clothes For Kids,” said Joy Ingram, Executive Director. “100% of Clothes For Kids support is from the community. The breakfast is a great way for us to recognize our partners and thank the community for this support.”
Thanks to generous event sponsors, the cost of the breakfast was fully underwritten: Charlie’s Produce, Home Street Bank, Lynnwood Kiwanis, BECU, All Things HR, Gerber Collision, My Neighborhood News Network, and Molina Healthcare WA.
Guests and sponsors helped to raise more than $29,500 at the breakfast.
Since 1984, Clothes For Kids a local non-profit organization has provided low-income students with school clothing. “While it is not our mission to create smiles on kids’ faces and looks of relief and hope on those of parents, that is often what happens,” said Mark Cholvin, Clothes For Kids Board President. “It is not uncommon to hear an excited voice proclaim: ‘Look what I found!’”
